The Naming Ceremony

A spectacular ceremony was held where Queen Victoria was named by Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall, in the presence of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales.  Over 2,000 invited guests witnessed one of the most glamorous, star-studded royal events of 2007 in a specially-built auditorium next to the City Cruise Terminal.

Famous names such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Band and Trumpeters of the Royal Marines, Sir Derek Jacobi, Katherine Jenkins, Winchester Cathedral choresters, the Bishop of Winchester and the three tenors – Alfie Boe, Jon Cristoc and Gardern Thor Cortez kept the crowd enthralled throughout the one hour ceremony.
